Chrissie has 31 years of experience as a physiotherapist and is joint owner of Bell Lane Physiotherapy and Sports Therapy Clinic. She worked in the NHS between 1993 and 2007 covering most specialisms and began working in private practice in 2010.
She and Carl opened Bell Lane Physiotherapy Clinic in 2014.
Chrissie has many years of clinical experience with musculoskeletal, rheumatological and neurological disorders and takes a special interest in cases of unexplained pain striving to work as holistically as possible taking all aspects of the case into consideration.
Among the physiotherapy treatments Chrissie uses are soft tissue work, deep tissue massage, myofascial release, spinal and joint manipulation, electrotherapy, acupuncture, gua sha, cupping, prescriptive exercise and posture and gait re-education. She also does insurance work.
Chrissie qualified as a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Practitioner of NLP in 1998 and subsequently went on to train in Psychotherapy and CBT.
She also practises Shamanic Healing, Reiki and Vibrational Essence Therapy. Along with Physiotherapy, she provides these services at Bell Lane Physiotherapy and Sports Therapy Clinic.
Chrissie runs a face-to face Shamanic Drumming Circle twice a month in the local area.
Chrissie regularly appears on BBC Radio Leeds as one of their "Professionals."
With her friend and colleague Dr Karen Forshaw, Chrissie has written two books. The first is 'The Five-Point Rescue Plan' which aims to give patients a step-by-step strategy for moving through any problem. The second is 'How to Rise - A Complete Resilience Manual' and was out in June this year with Sheldon Press. It shows readers how to build their own bespoke resilience toolkit with over 60 practical tools and techniques for improving mental wellbeing.
Together Chrissie and Karen are 'Resilient Practice.' They provide resilience training for the RCGP, HEE, and various other organisations aiming to reduce burnout and improve the mental wellbeing of various groups of heath workers and the general public.

CARL MOWBRAY

Sports Therapist
Carl Mowbray is a skilled Sports Therapist and joint owner Bell Lane Physiotherapy and Sports Therapy Clinic.
He offers a wide variety of treatments including soft tissue work, myofascial release, trigger point work, dry needling, manipulation of the spine and joints, rehabilitation, taping and electrotherapy.
Carl uses his skills to treat people with all conditions and of all ages.
As well as his musculoskeletal work within clinic, Carl has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the treatment and rehabilitation of sports injuries.
Carl has a long history of involvement in the sport of weight training and body building.
For two years beginning in 2017, Carl provided support for the athletes who were competing for “The World’s Strongest Man” with “Giants Live.”
He offered expert hands on treatments for athletes, before and after performances. He also provided a triage service, responding immediately to injuries sustained during the event.
Along with providing treatments for these, he was on hand, backstage, to help to maintain the health of the top fifteen “World’s Strongest Man” competitors.
Some of these athletes included Eddie Hall and Hafpor Julius Bjornsson both of whom have held the title “World’s Strongest Man” and the latter of whom played “the Mountain” in HBO’s “Game of Thrones.”
Carl is also the official therapist for British Professional Boxer Daniel 'Maxi' Hughes who held the IBO lightweight title between 2021 and 2023 and at regional level held the British lightweight title in 2021.

Mounira Mansoorali, qualified in 2012 with a Bachelor’s (Hons) degree in Physiotherapy from Northumbria University, Newcastle. She has previous experience working in a specialised orthopaedic unit with NHS. For the past 4 years she has specialised in musculoskeletal physiotherapy as her specific area of interest. She is competent in variety of evidence based techniques including manual therapy, western based acupuncture therapy and exercise therapy programme.
Mounira is also a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and Acupuncture Association of Physiotherapy (AACP). In addition, she also has other special interests in managing cervicogenic headaches and migraines using both manual therapy and western based acupuncture.
She has published a case study in management of chronic pain in the Journal of Acupuncture Association of Physiotherapy.
She enjoys outdoor activities (hiking and swimming) and have always been fascinated by marine life, loving snorkelling and scuba diving. Her passion is travelling around the world exploring and experiencing the cultures of most inspiring places on earth. She also enjoys doing craftwork in her leisure time.

Leanne is a person-centred therapist offering talking therapies both online and in a face to face capacity, she enjoys working with couples, individuals and young people from age 10.

Mick is highly experienced Sports Therapist with 20years practice in the treatment of injuries and remedial massage.
His main expertise lies in soft tissue, musculoskeletal problems and posture rehabilitation.
During his expansive years of practice, Mick has provided treatment for a wide range of age groups and conditions; including therapy support for Stroke survivors and surgical implant patients.
Additionally, he as worked with young and professional sports people through their rehabilitation process from respective arenas such as Golf, football, swimming, gymnastics, martial arts and weight lifting.
Mick's historical background in working as a college lecturer on Sport Science courses and as a FA coach; has assisted him to be grounded in how and why injuries occur and strategies to help prevent the risks of future injuries.
Over many years of practice, Mick's developed a philosophy to provide an informal friendly environment that's conducive in supporting 'clients' autonomy during the rehabilitation process.
